Rawbank strengthens management to better implement its 2026-2030 strategic plan

Highlights

  • Rawbank created a Deputy General Manager role for Business and Development, now held by Hugues Bosala, to oversee production, sales, performance, network, and fintech.
  • The appointments reinforce the bank’s focus on commercial growth, financial discipline, and workforce management, ahead of the 2026-2030 strategic plan.
  • In 2024, Rawbank posted net banking income of $514 million (+6.2%) and net profit of $212.7 million (+11.4%), reflecting growth through diversification, digitalization, and sustainable finance.

Rawbank, the leading bank in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), has announced key management appointments as it prepares to implement its 2026-2030 strategic plan. The bank has created a new position, Deputy General Manager in charge of Business and Development, to oversee its production, sales, performance, network, and fintech divisions.

Hugues Bosala, who has risen through the ranks since joining Rawbank in 2008, will fill the role, joining Christian Kamanzi, responsible for administration and risk, and Nadeem Akhtar, in charge of support and infrastructure. The General Management team now comprises one Managing Director and three CEOs.

In addition, Kadija Sangho Keita, formerly at Société Générale, is the new Head of Finance, and long-time Rawbank employee Tatiana Maresca has been appointed Head of Human Capital, succeeding Dieudonné Nkunzi.

The appointments are designed to reinforce the bank’s focus on commercial growth, financial discipline, and talent management, with a particular emphasis on leadership, gender diversity, and workforce development.

"By welcoming these exceptional profiles, Rawbank is strengthening its ability to anticipate changes in the sector and embody demanding, dynamic, and forward-looking leadership," commented Board Chair Isabelle Lessedjina.

Professional background

Hugues Bosala, 42, will be key to implementing the lender’s new strategic plan. After joining Rawbank in 2008 as a retail credit analyst, he has risen through the ranks to branch manager, regional manager for the East zone, and since 2019, director of the Kinshasa zone.

Kadija Sangho Keita, 40, brings international experience from Société Générale, where she oversaw the accounting management of eight African subsidiaries. She will be responsible for the reliability of financial information, accounting, taxation, and relations with correspondent banks.

Tatiana Maresca, 44, will oversee administration, payroll, recruitment, career management, and training, placing talent development, gender diversity, and collective performance at the heart of the bank's transformation. Having joined Rawbank in 2009, she was already involved in these issues, notably as an ambassador for the She Leads program for women's empowerment.

Last July, Rawbank’s Board of Directors welcomed its fourteenth member, Françoise Lungangi Kitundu, a specialist in auditing and certification. Kitundu was appointed Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.

As its current five-year plan draws to a close, the bank had a solid 2024 performance, with net banking income of $514 million, up 6.2% from 2023, and net profit of $212.7 million, up 11.4%, which underscores its central role in financing the Congolese economy through diversification, digitalization, and sustainable finance.
